TMJ
Many people suffer from a condition referred to as TMJ Disorder, which is related to the jaw joints or temporomandibular joints (TMJ). Often people complain of pain around the ears or jaw joint areas, which can indicate a TMJ problem. However, several other symptoms that include frequent headaches, clicking or popping noises, locking of the jaw, chipping or fracturing of teeth, muscle tightness or tension in the areas of the jaws/neck/head/shoulders, or wear of the teeth, can all be associated with TMJ Disorders. These symptoms often are not considered to be related to the TMJ’s, only pain or muscle discomforts are. However, over time if not treated this condition can progress to where extensive damage can occur. In most cases, this disorder can be treated very easily and relief of discomfort can be attained very rapidly.
